It was an old cartoon formula: Donald Duck was up in his mountain cabin all alone, when the radio announced that some axe murderer or something had escaped and was in his area, so naturally, he began jumping at every shadow and hilarity ensued. I don't even remember where or when I saw it. But one thing stuck with me, and that was the radio announcer guy. After every report, he would say, "That is all. Breckenridge." I guess it must've been pretty late at night when I saw it, because I remember spending hours trying to figure out what in God's name "Breckenridge" was supposed to mean. Eventually, I slept, but the word has stuck with me, and now I end almost every e-mail I send with "That is all. Breckenridge." Weird, huh?

We, too, have been trying to unravel the Breckenridge mystery. What I saw was a police station, with ancient police cars hurtling out, and the dispatcher would end his instructions to the officers with "That is all. Breckenridge." My guess is that it was a police dispatch term, kind of like "30," at the end of a newspaper report, by the reporter, and it signified the end of the police instructions.

Wow. I haven't seen that cartoon short in ages. I love the part where he runs using a ladder and then it becomes a set of stilts. Man, Donald's house must be HUGE! And why the heck do Huey, Dewey, and Louie have access to tear gas grenades?! Also, Breckenridge Vanilla Porter is a super yummy beer! ...
