i think i can speak for all of us red folks when i say your words mean an awful lot to all the hearts and minds that call this place home. you capture more emotional truth in a single sentence than most people manage to get at in a whole wall of text. though we might be far from you, our shared joy and pain binds us together. we love you.

thanks tender_square. :) i do often miss this place and wish more hours could be added into the day. raccoon series is the name of someone's stepchild in my half-conscious brain, so let's see if they appear again.

introvert_vs_extrovert is so thought_provoking. and it's a fascinating glimpse into the way two people who express themselves in very different ways for different reasons can share a lot of the same feelings and fears. also, did you know you wrote three things tonight that, when taken in chronological order, create the phrase "unfair quiet time"? i think there are mysterious forces at work here. smooful forces.

I also wanted to comment about the introvert/extrovert dialogue (and I forgot last night, gah). My first thought: "It sounds like the two sides of myself talking to each other" - except more coherently, I bet. And your statement on "time" made me think how that can apply to both learning and relationships.

i'm glad you both found meaning in introvert_vs_extrovert. i've learned more about about the other side through these conversations in the past week than i'd ever thought of before. raze: i did not know that, but it somehow makes sense. i hope the smooful forces stick around. e_o_i: i'd like to see this dialogue between you and you!

thank you kindly! it went pretty well. i was aware of the errors i was making (which i was trying to give myself grace for since i haven't played the songs many times, buuuuut being easy on oneself is something i am not always the best at) but the audience seemed to enjoy it. it was fun having people dancing beside us too.

whoa. i don't think i ever noticed that before. i guess hanging letters like gs and ys don't get underlined when hyperlinks are made here. the blather_quirks are endless, or so it seems...

What you posted on weird_confessions today made me tear up. You wrapped so much of the complexity of grief into such a small space. It really hit me.

I love what you wrote on "snippets" - a story taking shape in a few images. Oh, and it's sorta blather_synchronicity that I was just describing something with the word "snippets" when I ran across your blathe with this title. (One of the underrated_words, I think.)

thanks e_o_i! i'm trying to practise writing in a more narrative style, or at least as close as i can get to that. "snippets" is indeed a very good and descriptive word. sometimes a lot is too much and you just need a snippet.

thank you so much! it is a first attempt at a song that had a time limit for creation. even in the time we had, it was neat to experiment with lyric-writing, which generally has a bit of a different cadence than anything i've written before.

thank you kindly, yet again! i always seem to have more success getting words down when i have a time limit (maybe i should have continued to post these under five_minute_creations). i guess pressure makes diamonds that catch the light and help illuminate the creative brain. or something.
