it's been awhile so i felt the need to share. it was technically earlier this weekend, but i got an email from the beaverton with compliments on my headline submissions, with their apologies for having taken so long to reply. then they asked me to write for them! i've been a fan of theirs for so long that i really wasn't expecting this, and i'm trying not to get my hopes too far up. but it would be helpful to have at least a couple of articles up there, and i'm happy the satirical publication that finally accepted my pitches is the canadian one.

Congratulations, nr!! That IS exciting. I'm sure you'll do well! (That was a dream of sorts - not a dream-dream, and a different publication - teen me sitting with Julia at or near her computer, asking her if she liked my idea of an article for The Onion. It had something to do with chocolate. She diverted me quite kindly to Uncyclopedia and we posted it there.)

...and about the piano, yes and yay and yea to that!! Conversing with an instrument is oddly comforting, when it feels like a conversation and not just making noise (though I'm sure with you it's much less like noise).
