camille Ice-cream melt

wearing simplicity on the hem of my skirt
simplicity watched my every step
the miles my feet have walked through thought
your words how truly sought
of days when a dollar was a penny
and the dollar not always on the heart of many
where morals were set in families like valued ocean Corals
bobbing through the oceans of life
yet grounded and guiding currents
unaware of Life's crisis occurrence

i too miss days past
when ice-cream was the best in the land...
it's sticky substance clinging to hand
it's creamy milky whipped flavor on a cone.
when moments of flavor seemed to last forever....
i can still smell it's vanilla scent...
of days in childhood's memory spent...
icecream no longer tastes the same...
an imitation of flavor's past...
somehow childhood memories seem so more fulfilled,
more colorful,
more scented,
more flavored,
more alive...
