theres lots of things in sydeny
that i really like to do
like lying on the beach all day
or going to the zoo
or visiting me lovely friends
or having them for tea
but sometimes theres nowhere on this earth i'd rather be

than riding on the ferry on a sunday morning
sailing off to manly for day of fun
gazing at the sights seeing seagulls soaring
me and cora sitting on morning sun.

at manly they have icecreams,
the very best in town
and you can eat them while you watch the people strolling up and down
and sometimes they have music playing in the open air
and stores along the prominard with goodies rich and rare
and wen the sun is brightly shining
and the seas a brilliant blue
we swim a while
and sit a while
and take in all the view
theres people in the water
and theres people on the shore
theres people looking suntanned
and people looking sore

when we go riding on the ferry on a sunday morning
sailing off to manly for day of fun
gazing at the sights seeing seagulls soaring
me and cora sitting on morning sun.

(i think theres another verse about going home, but i cant remember it at the moment.)

sabbie ...[theres a line or two i have forgotten]

we're tired and weire sunburnt and the salts still on our skin,
and one day very soon we hope to do it all again,

we'll go riding on the ferry on a sunday morning
sailing off to manly for day of fun
gazing at the sights seeing seagulls soaring
me and cora sitting on morning sun.

Photophobe hasnt ridden a ferry in ages I like!
I have to sing it next time... but I don't know the tune...

but my weekly travelpass says 'bus train ferry' on it...
