This is reminiscent of a realization, that occured a few years ago, when my pastor sat me down, and tried to convince me, that animals don't go to heaven. I had actually heard that statement as a child, but chose to ignore it, and live in innocent denial. He told me matter-of-factly, that animals don't posess souls, and that they solely exist for our consumption. I guess one should feel alot of pride in our position, at the top of the food chain. Right! I'll believe what I damn well feel like, and I believe 'All Dogs go to Heaven' (that remark brought to you, courtesy of Disney, and my niece - for making me watch that animated film, over and over)!
