u24 anyone know where I can get a free shell account that'll allow me to run an ssh server in the background, 24/7 ?*

alternatively, ideas regarding secure (and/or anonymous/deniable) net surfing appreciated.

or, just chat about random stuff in general.

u24 (the * was going to have an explanation attached, but i figured it's pretty obvious)

(ok, maybe not 100% clear, here we go then:

I'm currently connecting through an untrusted network to the internet, so I'd like all traffic that passes through this network to be encrypted, so if I run an SSH server on the outside that will make the HTTP requests for me, and then encrypt and send them back to me, all my traffic will a) seem as if it's only between me and that box, and b) be secure from prying eyes.) Ideally, the solution would not involve me having to install anything locally, or change my browser or anything like that. anonymiser.com is out, not least because I don't trust them, but also because it's kinda obvious that that's what I'm doing if I'm using them.

daf I'm not sure what the new policy is regarding us running our own ssh server. I'd be more than happy to share the account with you. 051021
