fr007 Fire&Roses The Firehouse Fair Every year you can see the fair go up. On the stretch of lawn between the cemetary and the road, rides are erected, tents are set up. And for three days everyone takes a break. On Friday and Saturday the firemen set off fireworks and people sit on blankets by the foot of the cemetary and watch. There is a ring the bottle game where the prize is a large bottle of A-Treat Soda. A different toss game is watched over by an old weather beaten man who flirts with every girl who comes to the stand. You can ride the salt and pepper shakers and the round up and later when everyone is having to much fun to worry about looking childish you can get on the flying elephant ride for a few laps in the sky.
