catholic_church ergo hum If it keeps going like this, they're gonna give perverts a bad name. 180821 ... unhinged because of my father's insistence, i grew up outside of the catholic church. i was baptized but never made any other sacraments, didn't go to ccd class because i went to public school. i was a christmas/easter church attendee because my mom's mom wanted the family in church together on those days. because i wasn't indoctrinated, many of the things that happened during the service, even the statues of the stations of the cross, creeped me out. i didn't connect with any of it. i took my dad's words about my relationship with god being personal and became a buddhist in college. it wasn't until my oldest sister baptized her kids that I realized how radical my father really was when he refused to raise me and my brother in the church. with all the news in recent years, it makes me wonder if my dad had some shady dealings with a priest when he was young. he was an altar boy after all... 180823 what's it to you? who go blather from
