unhinged many composers of the baroque era were violinists

monteverdi
corelli
vivaldi
tartin
biber
bach

(i'm not so sure about the frenchies; they were in their own little world for most of early music history)

it makes sense when you think about it though that most musicians of the era would readily learn the violin. it has always been one of the more portable AND versatile of instruments.

i guess that's what i am
a violinist
a technician of the violin
i'd rather be a musician
than a violinist

zobz just try to play what you hear in your head until you can do that fairly well, as you learn some songs and make up your own practice bits, and try to improve your ability to think of what to play. 060310

unhinged ive been practicing the shotakovich piano trio no 2 by listening to a recording on youtube on headphones while i play

the end of the whole piece is so dark and heavy it stirs me. kinda like the end of madama_butterfly; i want to find a pianist and a cellist and give a trio recital
