werewolf it's weird how we contradict ourselves. like if you asked me if i thought conservationism was good. i'd say yes. but i don't rigourously recycle. still i'm not really lying. i do think it's good. i just somewhere believe it isn't possible. even worse than that is peace, which sometimes seems frustratingly possible. 020829

werewolf and i speculate that competition can become meaningless if we become a team. my example are mitochondria who used to be lifeforms all their own competing with cells for resources...but then joined them in what would eventually become the building block for more complex life. we're at a stage where more complex life is becoming a possibility. the other possibility looks less promising. but you're right that the nature of life is competition. however, this doesn't mean that physical competition is always necessary, or that the competition has to be between nations, using people as impersonal tools of some higher dynamics rather than viewing them as the very cradle of life they are. 020830
