There is a new law about to be passed by the Senate. A version of it has passed the House, and several states are also passing versions of it. It states that fast food companies are no longer liable for making their patrons fat. Ok, I can maybe go along with this idea. The fast food companies are saying that they do not control how much their patrons eat. However, if this is the case, I think they should take those commercials off the TV, the ones that show 3 FOOT HIGH hamburgers, or pizzas the size of tabletops. I mean, if the fast food companies don't control us, changing these commercials won't make a difference. Ever feel your mouth start watering after seeing one of these commercials? That's your body's response to seeing or smelling food. Not only does your body release saliva in your mouth, but your pancreas releases insulin to convert blood sugar into fat. Yes, you can get fatter just by smelling food.
