Jennifer Bethke Inner peace is not some elusive quality that is reserved for the chosen few. Each of us can have inner peace, if we are willing to work for it. Inner peace comes about as the result of healing the wounds of our lives, putting the past to rest, and learning to greet the day with enthusiasm instead of dread. When we are free, we are at peace.

Unfortunately, the vast majorities of people in our culture are negative and resist change. Most believe the kind of change that brings about inner peace is beyond their ability to achieve. That kind of belief allows them to stay stuck in turmoil, because to believe life transforming change is possible means they would have to actually do something about it!
