anne-girl you said that poem #43 is about
-- theme 1
-- theme 2
-- theme 3

kind of like #23, and it contrasts with #12 quite nicely and we should think about that for essay topics

and also that it is very cool and we all should have read it before class

I did, but i thought it was about something else

and what you said makes sense, but I never would have thought of it myself, and that'd be okay except that we have to write essays and thing of cool original stuff, and I don't know how

maybe it's because i'm a science geek and don't understand
but why do we have to quantify poetry?
do poets write things with the intention of having themes?
and name their metaphors? and think about literary devices
I'll give you iambic pentameter, but I don't like all this terminology crap
even though this poetry stuff is neat, you make it sound like a riddle that I can't figure out
that makes me angry and hate english

but you're a good teacher anyway
even though I'm glad this class is over
