A woman once asked whether or not she was beautiful. The consensus was that she was indeed. Soon she had many talented suitors, all trying to capture her beauty in stone, wood, on canvas. Even through the exquisite charm of their words..was the human heart itself carved into an impression of her incomparable majesty.
Believing that her beauty was fully appreciated, she trusted them to explore her physique..and bestowed upon them her most sacred gifts. She then asked, "Will you find me as beautiful once you know my secrets?"
Soon after, they began dissecting, categorizing and studying her. A finger here, a tongue there. It wasn't her in that petri dish..it was just her liver. Before long, her beauty, and in fact she herself was forgotten in the grotesqueness of it all.
