now that the page is blank once more some are trying vainly to fill it and will settle with almost any rambling to do so. did blue begin in such ways?

This I truly wonder too. I came upon the Blue world First And found it Linked together. Here to There an endless chain. I only wrote on what I Found And that was self-sufficent. But here are pages, Some Quite long, Without a link upon them! And the Question of how this thing evolves Is on the Far Horizon. Will new words forge links back in time To blathes now logged and loaded? Or will they only be transcribed To New Blathes yet unspoken?

you can go back in time easily by clicking the dates. in the first year of blue blather's existence, you'll see hardly any community. really like scribbles on the wall. i think community (and vanity) followed along with self-consciousness. by the time some of the last summer's newbies got there, it was at least 60% people talking to each other, instead of these hints, sidelong glances, games, and cries for attention that dominated the interaction before. who knows if that was healthy - some people might have thought it sucked. it would be unrealistic to expect this blather to evolve the same, though. (which is all the more reason to have new ideas...)

this one was born with the self-consciousness carried over from blue, that was inescapable. i've seen some of the early blathes i've spent the last several days just reading through some of the dates back in 98 and 99 i think, bearing in mind all the changes that blue has gone through, this was as close to that beginning as could be hoped for That is not really a bad thing. the second child always has the influence of the first to contend with

A Question of the older one If I may ... I do not understand your refference to "dates"?? I am a true neophyte and lack the understanding of the subtlties here. Another community member Finally explained to me how to add a Word Form, instead of just reading and commenting on those already here, But I have never found a Chronological Listing, or at least I have never recognized one. I would appreciate any eludication you might provide.

Never mind... After my last blathe I discovered 980819., and deduced the coding at last I think. 98=year 08=month 19=day of month. Damn I'm dense! Thank you anyway.

coming into new lands, pilgrim, one wouldn't expect you to be a scholar on that land at your first arrival. being a tourist for a while would result in knowledge of that plane. and that's all it was, do not beat yourself up or call yourself dense.

I may be a blather_purist but wasn't this originally "an experiment to see what shape this will take when left at your mercy"? Blatherblue became what it became. I don't disagree with blatherred, but I think it's wrong to shun blatherblue simply because people came with ideas and mentalities different from your own. I respect both ends of the spectrum, blue and red, and all of the words and personalities that lie within.

aaaaaaah online communities can be so snobbish! I'm sorry, but abandoning blue simply because Thyareshallshant and some other people decided to come in and say something you deemed "stupid" is a "stupid" reason to shun it for this ugly assed color! I'm going insane trying to read things on these pages, and frankly I don't think it was worth switching to brown/pink blather. Thank you, and God bless America.

I see no problem with red. Everyone's favorite colour is blue, because blue is safe. Good then. Red is good and so is azure.

Thoughts. 1. I've only just discovered blather's red version. So the questions are: who? why? when? And how did anyone hear about it, considering it wasn't mentioned anywhere? 2. I might use both - blue for certain moods, red for others. 3. It's more maroon than red, isn't it? 4. I'll need a new name. I'm working on that one.

I first heard of this back on blue on blatherdate 010125.... I can,t recall the exact post title, but it was an invitation to come on over and check this out. there were only a handfull of linked words at that point so I think this was still quite fresh.

It intimidates me. Blue is comfortable, and everyone has been there, it's full of good ramblings and bad ramblings and everything that fills the sapces in between. But red is still small and I'd like to see it grow into something beautiful, and so I feel that any words I type on these blood-coloured pages must be worthy of their place here. Consequently my red blathes tend to take longer, are more serious than blue ones, and may even be (pause for dramatic effect) edited! I still have a draft sitting in notepad that I have to fix up before I can submit it to the almighty sac-red. I am not worthy.....sometimes

see peytons_blather_research on blue, that pretty much has a whole lot about the history of blather I hope that red doesn't become blue.. I haven't been a blatherererer since the beginning, but I got to watch blue fester into nothingness God save the Queen

I can blather here and he won't see it because he only knows about blatherblue...but...do I want him to see everything I write, I mean, it does all have to do with him?
