Sittin next to the water on a heavenly day
When the sight of a yellow frog sunnin' himself
Caught my eye
like a fat bug passin' him by
Two dragonflies chasin' their blues away
from the sound of a bullfrog grumpin' 'em off
Set a strange thought
Blowin through the back of my mind
Wish I could be a yellow frog
watchin' the clouds in May
Bouncin' off of a calm cool puddle with the
sunshine dancin' across my face
Hear a blackbird
with his mind on a sweet serenade
whistlin to the minnows
swimmin all over the place
Because
A yellow frog don't leap for the deep
Or get startled from his sleep
by the sound of the thunder
Cause he can see
that the breeze in the trees
is just a feedin' the leaves
with the storm cloud cover
And if he sits
and he waits 'til the heavy downpour has gone away
he can
watch the passing rain
meet a heavenly day.
