i am a runner.

i listen to music promiscuously sometimes, and not at all other times, and then i religously listen to only one band for weeks sometimes.

i am likely depressive. possibly genetic, if my father and grandfather are any indication. among other reasons.

but i'm beating it.

i love to sit quietly and watch people who don't realize i'm watching them. and i like to walk down the streets and stare right into people's eyes when i pass them even though they're always looking somewhere else because that's what people do.

mangrove i went to a cookie party tonight.

i had chocolate chip cookies and fruitopia and watched a movie with some guys i should know better than i barely do.

then i walked home through the streets and leaves and imminently changing season.

i looked up at the sky and i saw the sky i see in december. i love that sky and the feeling that goes with it.

and i spun through the empty streets alone, walked down the white line in the middle, and did cartwheels until an approaching ambulance asked me politely to step aside before it slipped silently past, its piercingly compelling lights spinning quickly around to signal the frailty of humanity.

now i'm home and the world is different and i am alive. 		041014
