Other portraits I had drawn didn't lend me to care how the final pictures turned out, because I just saw it as capturing an image on a piece of paper, but you were different. When I set out to draw you, I knew of the person behind the image. I couldn't move on, until it was perfect
&nbsp and it was never perfect.

It hurts me, that I couldn't give to the one person I wanted a truly meaningful gift, and yet to the countless hollow others, it was quite easy to simply show them a representation of their shells. I feel as though I have failed you.

And although you still will say that it is alright, that is what I mean when I say I'm sorry.
