Mario, Luigi, The Princess, and what was that dude's name? Toadstool? Then there was Kirby. I could never figure out what he was exactly...a cream puff or a vaccuum (or vacuum?) ghost? I remember Metroid too. If only I could curl up into a ball and roll under crevices...(the things I would see or find...the long lost golden dildo! Nah!) I'm not as great at playing these anymore because I was a kid when I had them. I do however, know someone who is excellent at them and great at strategies. Watching him play is kind of like watching a mini action movie, only the director (him) is part of the film itself. He doesn't know I see it this way, but perhaps he will soon.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver - the richness of the atmosphere and attention to detail, and the muscal score is pretty freaking brilliant, i regret that i still don't have a ps2 to play the sequel

World of Warcraft FOR GNOMEREGAN!!! I don't care what anyone else says. The game is fun. I get more fun out of it than I do watching any stupid soap opera or sitting around talking about shoes for 4 hours or having my hair done. Screw traditional stereotypes. I love my game. Don't cross me or I'll curse you into the flaming underworld. *cackle*

i never graduated past the classic consoles. rented a neo geo once, but the most advanced thing i got my mitts on for keeps was a sega cd. nothing past that really interested me. thought about buying an xbox or a playstation a time or two. never got around to it. though i'd still like to play "the last of us" and "red dead redemption 2" at some point before i die. you don't want to know how many hours i spent trying to find a way to beat mike tyson at the end of a nintendo game that probably gave a whole lot of kids nightmares if they made it far enough to get pummeled by that smiling pixelated giant of a man. it only took me about twenty-five years to figure it out, and it all came clear in one night. i guess that's what losing half the hearing in your right ear will do to you. must have been one of the last baths i took before i switched back to showers. first thing you gotta do is dodge all those uppercuts mike throws in the first round. one hit and you're kissing the canvas. three and you're toast. it's possible to sneak in a few quick hits of your own between his power punches if you time it right, but you need to be precise. if you can knock him down early enough, he'll only get half his health back. otherwise, he's always at full strength the second he gets to his feet. and you're not. i must have got knocked out a hundred times before i started making some headway. i ended up beating him by second round tko twice, third round tko once, and a few times i managed to win on points. once you get a feel for the shifting rhythm of his attack, he doesn't exactly become easy to beat, but he's a little less impossible to deal with. got to the point where i was taking him deep into the second or third round and knocking him down a few times even when i lost. i wish i had a similar story to tell about "ninja gaiden". if that game doesn't drive you insane, nothing will. brilliant soundtrack, though. some of those songs will almost make you want to keep getting killed so you can have an excuse to hear them again.
