I satisfied my toast craving this morning.. with a throat bearing tonsilitis again, barely able to swallow, let alone eat or drink... but i did it, painfully i might add. MmmmM.. toast with melting peanut butter and honey dripped all over it! I earnt that, lying in bed being hungry and lazy and craving it.

I don't know the context, but I hope stuff is all right. Sometimes I don't like the idea of toast, but it's not a consistent dislike. In those times my rationale is "Why cook something that's already cooked? Why make something pleasingly soft overly crispy?"

i like toast. if we extend the metaphor, then toast is a reminder that even from a finished state we can become something new. and then even from that position, further transformation is possible.

(you're sweet to say that, e_o_i. i was just really tired last night, to the point that my brain wouldn't really let me blathe, and i thought, "what do i feel like right now? I KNOW. BREAD. BREAD THAT HAS BEEN COOKED.")

So, past and raze - adding up your posts, their moral seems to be that toast is not toast. Tired minds, fried, can be renewed; soft bread, pale, can be re-hued.
