beneath_the_bird_feeder oren We looked out the back window the other morning to find an unusual_situation. Since we have bird feeders, we sometimes see either a cat or_a hawk hanging out waiting for_a hapless bird to visit. This_morning we saw a large cat sitting comfortably on_the ground, but behind him, only three feet away, was a young hawk. The cat was too large for_the hawk to consider as prey, and the cat didn't seem to know the hawk was there. Of_course, there were no birds anywhere nearby. Neither was going to get what he_came for.
