Javier a struggling Jeanne is a tropical storm with 45 mph winds near the Caicos Islands. Jeanne continues to battle an unfavorable environment full of west to east upper-level shear and dry air.

Hurricane Karl is in the east central Atlantic. Karl at 110 mph may intensify further into a major hurricane

In the eastern Pacific, Tropical Storm Javier is about 80 miles west of Cabo San Lazaro, Mexico. Javier, because of cooler ocean waters and increasing wind shear aloft, is only a low level circulation devoid of any thunderstorms as it approaches the peninsula.
