sameolme But darling be home soon
I couldn't bear to wait an extra minute if you dawdled
My darling be home soon
It's not just these few hours but I've been waiting since I toddled
For the great relief of having you to talk to. John Sebastion

This clumsy, heart rending rhyme speaks to me of the true work of the poet.
How do you contrive to express the real?
I can see John lying in bed or sitting at a desk, searching himself for a way to express his love. Perhaps frustrated, perhaps sleepy, he stumbles across this rhyme, and its lack of grace is humanity.
