native persimmon We do not yank ourselves up out of the swamp of creation by our own hair.

Pure freedom farcical, but relative freedom fiery - the unbridled catalyst, the perpetual objective, and the smoldering inadequacy in history, and in me.

I tangle and mangle my volition.

I could not but want to have answered differently, I could not but have answered the way I have.

native persimmon If I may: How do you choose your words? 080320
...
redTree words are primal. diaphragm, lungs, esophagus, larynx, epiglottis, pharynx, nasal cavity, tongue, oral cavity, jaw, lips, and teeth work together like a physiological orchestra to articulate our basic, foundational means of expression. words are our vehicles of conveyance.

choosing words is somehow like art. first comes the idea...the concept of what we want to say or needs to be said. words, though their use is infinite, are restricted by our knowledge of them. so choosing them is like riffling through the thesaurus/dictionary pages of every snippet of our present accumulated information and attempting to combine it with the interior vision coming to life...a bird flashing across the sky, a pungent scent of fragrance...a cry of a needy infant...the distinct velvet blandness of a raspberry... warm fingers on the neck...next comes the skeletal drawing...is that what i see? hear? touch? taste? feel? no..it needs shading...so i spit on my fingers and rub it into place. is that it now? no...it needs flesh, muscles, veins, blood, organs...finally breath.

words can live forever. words are ambassadors, representing us in the foreign souls we encounter.
words are flags we unfurl...may the wind blow.

words identify us in our physical absence.

native_persimmon I've amassed a daunting but enticing backlog! Let me see if I can tackle it piecemeal. . .

Q: if a book was written about your present life, what would it be called? why?

A: Head Down to My_Opia

I can say this much - at present, one biographical title could not account for both what it would be called and what I would want it to be called. It not just_a_matter_of_time standing between the titles' convergence; it's_me. I'm inexplicably inert to defining my wishful path - perhaps because I fear if ever I were to find it, I would pound non-stop all the way to the end, disallowing reformulation and ruining_it_all. I keep my head down to focus on the course, I get it all done as it comes, but without operationalizing in my decisions that what's coming my way today is what I set myself up for last year, that what will come next year is what I'm not planning today.

rt did you leave any works of art on the airplane window blinds during your latest trip? 090228

native persimmon Re: superhero:

I choose invisibility. Planes can take me flying but there's nothing else like being a fly on the wall that could take me to all the places, situations, discussions where in body I am too shy and scared to go, do, ask. I could detach myself from my world_face - the ability to become on a whim incorporeal, a swirling mass of unassigned, untethered perceptions. I would be an unabashed reporter seeking greater understanding of the_human_condition, if I could manage it. I would be Auspicious_Spy .

native persimmon What a recollection! I took seven flights over seven weeks from America to Europe to Asia and home_again, yet no window decorations. Quite frankly, I completely forgot that tradition of mine. I'm for_better_or_for_worse still childish_and_quirky, but this one seems to have fallen by the wayside. But no great loss - I_like_to_think I actually leave small contributions behind in the places I go to learn and work these days (not just in the air) 090228
