Long distance relationships are more like convictions with visitations rights.

Not if you love the person. Then no matter what the distance, love carries on. It's pretty much impossible to take the other person for granted.

distance, like miles in between, those unspoken words, those frozen letters yellow in my attic box. minutes dripping soundless like hesitant beads of coffee soundless from their filters.

by the way, if anyone ever wants to know exactly how far away something is, go to www.indo.com Go under the smart tips heading and find the part that says: distances calculator. Enter in any two places in the world and find out exactly how far away they are. not to mention a map or something too. its pretty cool

The way you respond, your choice of words, I don't know what. All I know is you're crying, and I can't do a thing about it but type out words which I know won't do any good. God damned Internet.

Once Vast Enough It is more like a function of Time Rather than Space The distant past still Streams Into my gazing eyes In the dark night And it all looks just the same Little shimmering orbs The light at the end of the Tunnel

"we started to know eachother nearby, and now we're getting to know eachother better so far away." but, with that thought, i can't help but notice how when we are together we can mesh our lives, if but for a few days at a time, together with little conflict.

i have lots of pictures of him all over my apartment i send him packages i text him just to say i love and miss him and then in the rare moments when we find ourselves face to face we stay up all night talking not wanting to waste a single moment i am so glad my brother is moving back to this continent. hell fucking yes. there will still be considerable distance between us, but it's comforting somehow to know that will no longer include an ocean.

i'm better these days at keeping an emotional distance from less-than-fortunate things that happen, which is a useful quality, but i hope it's not because i'm just avoiding feeling things too much in general.

years ago, when i went to see a psychic on the boardwalk in atlantic city (hey, i walked by it and it was only $5), she said the person i was meant to be with was someone at a distance who i hadn't met yet. this isn't so surprising now, since i always try to go everywhere else.

has always felt like an escape to me. being away this past week made everything seem so far away. but, you know. wherever you go, there things are.

decades pass yet this stays the same. you get closest to finding what you're looking for and what you need where you aren't. but you don't leave where you are because there are reasons not to.

over a decade ago, i went to montreal and saw you for a couple of hours one night. the rest of the nights, you had reasons you couldn't hang out, or you just didn't respond to me. later on, you told me it was because you didn't want to develop a long-distance crush. so you ignored me instead. we don't talk anymore. the more things change, the more scared people get.
