penumbra
thy one of the most amazingly beautiful things ive ever seen in my life was, suprisingly enough, the play of shadows against a wall. it was the patternless pattern of the many leaves of a full, lush tree blowing in the wind.

looking at it was trance like, and it made me tear up, just a bit.

its nearly impossible to try and describe it, but it was almost like watching a swirling river of shadows.

or a shadowy fractal in eternal motion.

so empty, yet so full.

the best part was the the wonderful penumbra and umbra, giving it this very real / unreal quality to it, all fuzzy and derezzed.

i will never forget it, its been years and years already, which says something...

because, yes, i was totally freakin high.
