poet "its a sin to kill a mockingbird"

a mockingbird, looking into his cage from the outside,
examining his own simplicity,
all the while perpetuating the oxymoron that is him.
he watches as they shoot him,
they rip out their own hearts and throw them at him.
he dies, and they grin and walk away.

epitome of incomprehensibility I reread the book To_Kill_a_Mockingbird about a month ago. I hadn't read it since I was fifteen. Looking at it again, I was impressed by all the details and nuances that went into the writing... all the quirky habits of the Maycomb residents, funny parts, serious parts, everything. One of the best movie adaptations too. 100115
