Ever since yesterday's craft_show, my last for this year, my skin has been itching. Not "all over" in the sense of everywhere at one, but here and there - feet one minute, hands and wrists the next. The butt. The non-butt cheeks. The skin around my eyes. My neck in syntax class. Anywhere I put pressure on, it feels like there are tiny needles urging me to scratch. And if I scratch, it raises small bumps. These go away, but the itchiness returns. I washed my hair this morning and my scalp and ears felt hot, angry. I've ruled out bedbugs or lice (lice would stick to hairy parts; bedbugs would leave visible bites), so I'm guessing it's some sort of allergic reaction. I don't know if it's something to do with the pressed wood and plywood cabin I was in yesterday. I can't think of anything strange I ate. My fear, though, is that it seems superficially like Aunt Sarah's gluten intolerance symptoms and any allergy like that would be massively inconvenient (but not dangerous, not like Klara-from-choir's celiac disease). And at least I could go to the pharmacy before it closed. Pharmacist said to avoid hot water when washing. I bought a generic form of Reactin and Concordia's health clinic claimed it would return my call tomorrow.

I mean everywhere at once, not everywhere at one. That sounds Zen, and I don't feel very Zen at the moment.

What_woke_you_up_this_morning, but not proper morning, about 3 AM: throbbing and waning dull pain somewhere in the middle of my chest. It pulled me out of dull dreams of doing semantics problems...do you find that dreams remembered in your first three hours of sleep are more plodding, less fanciful, or is that just me? Anyway, I went from a confused sense of "If I solve this problem, the ache will go away" to wakeful, "I think my esophagus hurts." Specifically esophagus. (As well as the Eustachian tube to my left ear, but that just felt like someone had put menthol rub in there. It wasn't hurting.) So I looked up "heartburn" and it seemed similar. I felt like I had to burp. But if there was stomach acid there, none made it to my taste buds. I was fed up with weird symptoms. On my walk home yesterday, my left ear had throbbed with internal heat. Seems to be skin sensitivity, inside and outside, reacting to pressure. Was the tea I drank before bed too hot? And what am I friggin allergic to?? "Extra" strength antihistamine, indeed. On the good side, I feel less itchy. But I still have rashes that come and go. I was trying to reach Concordia's clinic, but it seems to be a bad time to have any sort of health issue. At least it doesn't seem too bad? Just really frustrating sometimes.
