syntax
epitome of incomprehensibility In class, I daydreamed about being a famous syntactician. Could I pull that off, psychologically? Would it be too stressful?

Well, syntacticians aren't THAT famous, I reasoned. So the fame part wouldn't be too stressful. I'd just have to discover something.

But no, then people would expect me to do stuff. Like I had a debt to society. But I could be known for more than one thing, like Noam_Chomsky. While being a slow reader, unlike Noam_Chomsky.

(And then I told myself to snap out of it and focus on what the prof was saying. O end-of-term, with your alternating delusions of grandeur and failure!)
