In light of: a_film_you_should_see a_book_you_should_read I thought I'd start another one. I also thought it was amazing that I hadnt yet started a Blather about my...well, I hate to say favourite band in the world, because I dont like to pinpoint one band over all the others I love. But I love them to bits, so what the hell. You should all check out 65daysofstatic. I think most of the people here may appreciate them. To kickstart the experience, I highly recommend [everything], but for now, I'll leave it at these few songs: Radio Protector I Swallowed Hard, Like I Understood Retreat! Retreat! Drove Through Ghosts To Get Here When We Were Younger & Better The Distant & Mechanised Glow Of Eastern European Dance Parties

Yay! I'm glad to hear that. They'll be on their first proper tour in the US (I'm assuming this is where you are) soon so if they're in a city near you, you should check them out. They're great live.

Aww. Poor you. Although apart from that [being far, far away] NZ looks pretty awesome. Rugby, decent weather, laidback attitude [or so I hear]. Shame about its location though :D

Sheep! You forgot the sheep!! I thought that was all we were known for. The annoying thing is, whenever actual good bands come here, they have one show only, & it's all the way up the top of NZ, no easy way to get to it. ::sniff::

id rather live here than anywhere else in the world. not because of sheep or rugby or binge drinking or pavlova but because of the sunsets

its hard not to spam this when I find a new band who i'm really into at a particular moment. but i'd have to add bon iver and friendly fires. two albums ive had long enough, and listened to enough times to justify putting them on here. very different though. bon iver - mellow, acoustic, perfect winter music to curl up to. friendly fires - happy fun bouncy dance around to summer music.
