I am this - I like writing late at night sometimes - but I'm trying to adjust my schedule a little. The week after next, classes will be in-person (except for Sanskrit) so I can't just roll out of bed and head to the computer.

i wish i could sleep eight hours straight but my bladder never lets me. well, actually, it does maybe three days out of the year, and on those days i feel like i can take on the WORLD.

I think it's more common than not to wake up at night. I do, even if I don't need to pee. And if you don't, that's fine too. It's like how hear when you're a kid (okay, I did) that people need 8 hours of sleep, when really this is just an average. If I'm not tired or unduly stressed, I gravitate to 7 per night. (But it's probably smart for me to turn off my screens before midnight even if I don't actually fall asleep until 1. Alors, bonne nuit. I almost said "tadios", thinking that a word.)

sometimes i miss the days of silent flight, watching the night fall all around me while my plumage made me invisible to larger birds of prey. but it's better this way, waking with the sun instead of fighting to sleep through a steady stream of daylight. i still keep my talons sharp, just in case.

Ahaha. I wrote that, I turned off blather, and then I stayed on the computer until 3 reading some Anne_of_Green_Gables fanfiction. And I was trying to change up my schedule because my 8:45-10:00 phonetics class will be in person next week. It's like if I resolve too hard my mind will rebel on myself. ADHD, the struggle is real - and trivial, and annoying.

7 years ago I wrote on "focus": "whenever I get motivated to do something I get scared." Is that true? Sort of true, but if I get used to being motivated I get less scared? How about I resolve to go to bed at midnight tonight? See if it works. I'll be tired anyway.
