An old Chinese story tells of a gardener who noticed that his master's shoes were lying crookedly on the ground, and so he straightened them. When the master saw this, he said, "My shoes were crooked. Who has straightened them?" The gardener stepped forward and said, "It was I, my lord." And so, the master had him beheaded, because it was not the gardener's job to straighten shoes. Man, ain't NObody happy just being what they are.
