better_green_bean_casserole dosquatch 2 cans french cut* green beans 1 can cream of mushroom soup 6-8 oz smoked ham, chopped 1 cup shredded cheddar 1 cup shredded monterey jack 1 can French's fried onions milk added as needed drain the green beans, add to casserole dish add 1/2 can of fried onions and all remaining ingredients to dish, mix well splash in milk as needed for consistency (about 1/2 a soup can... ish) preheat oven to 325F, bake for 20 minutes covered stir & level top with remaining fried onions & return to the oven uncovered for another 5-10 minutes * - I think french cut gives a better texture to the casserole This is an improvement on the recipe on the back of the can of French's fried onions. I've added the ham and cheese.
