You are linking the word "judged" to something along the lines of, passing a sentence on a criminal or something. The word itself SOUNDS bad, and so you think of it as having connitations which are also bad. Remember, sometimes judgement can be a good thing. Without weighing in on each situation, how are we to act on anything? This is bad: how will I change it? This is good: How do I make it remain? To say I don't make judgments would be a lie: it's how I decide what to eat, or who to be friends with. What I really think people object to is the criterion that people use to make judgements. I'd like to think that the qualities that I use to decide whether or not I like a person are the "right" ones. Are they a jerk? Are they stupid. But I would never go so far as to say my criterion are the "right" ones.
