i dont judge. i give my opinions. i play devils advocate alot. but its not always how i feel or what i think..its just looking at life from a different view. besides we many of us never take our own advice and thats always a big irony of life.

hmm we all judge at some point on some things. i should say i TRY not to judge. yes i can admit that. i surely dont judge on blather and never will either. judging someone is like jealousy..its human nature to feel it...but its wrong to act on it.

in order to hate, despise, ridicule, joke about, laugh at, make fun of or disagree with anyone dont you have to judge them first?

If you form an opinion of someone you are judging them.

yeah, I'll have to agree with db on this one. if you look it up in the dictionary, judgement is exactly defined as "an opinion." look up opinion, it says a "formal expert judgement."

i think in some regards judging is a lot more negative...more of a condemnation than just forming an opinion. people are more apt to change an opinion than a judgement. there's a lot more finality about it.

Ah... see Unhinged, what you are doing i a word assiciation thing. You are linking the word "judged" to something along the lines of, passing a sentence on a criminal or something. The word itself SOUNDS bad, and so you think of it as having connitations which are also bad. Remember, sometimes judgement can be a good thing. Sometimes people are innocent, but only sometimes.

i also usually associate judgements as negitive. Judgement means to me that you have "passed a judgement" on someone. Where as an opinion would be non-discrimatory.

I pass judgement every second. It's how we make decisions, yeah? Without weighing in on each situation, how are we to act on anything? This is bad: how will I change it? This is good: How do I make it remain? To say I don't make judgments would be a lie: it's how I decide what to eat, or who to be friends with. What I really think people object to is the criterion that people use to make judgements. I'd like to think that the qualities that I use to decide whether or not I like a person are the "right" ones. Are they a jerk? Are they stupid. But I would never go so far as to say my criterion are the "right" ones. They are what works for me.
