plodding
epitome of incomprehensibility Trudging to work and/or school, shoulder bag and backpack providing weight resistance, I feel my steps plodding.

Other times I feel light-footed, flying, a creative energy lifting me along.

If you showed a zoomed-out video of both gaits, I doubt you'd see much difference in actual speed. It's impressive how much perception affects us (or maybe just me, being in my own head too much).

But also on foot:

One paw in front of the other, a dogged motion. Plod and perceivere.
