unhinged sometimes it's so frickin hard to find very vanilla silk soy milk. not only does it taste better than the regular vanilla but it has more vitamins. i've been on a soy kick; soy milk and soy patties of various flavors. i think it helps my cramps some. *shrugs* 060106

Sintina thinking of gettting the cost-effective, month's worth basket of groceries tonight...

Ramen, store-brand cola (36 cans for 5 dollars!), those card-board tasting pizzas (10 for 10 dollars!), and more Ramen.

Yum yum! Maybe one night I'll get fancy and cook one of the pizzas and a cup of Ramen, and then break up the pizza and mix little pieces of it into the Ramen noodles!

wicker man better nutrition and still on the cheap:

ramen, a few bags of store brand mixed veggies, and some meat (divide it while it's still frozen, stir fry your meat and vegetables and serve them over the ramen in different combos with different mixes of spices to add a greater semblance of variety

unhinged frozen vegetables are definitely an affordable way to get out of the frozen pizza/ramen/mac and cheese diet trap of poverty. i found frozen sugar snap peas at the grocery store the other day; a little more expensive but a lot more tasty. although, i was always one to splurge on food.

couscous
mushrooms
frozen snap peas
shrimp
garlic
butter = the yummiest dinner i ever made without a recipe mostly not out of boxes

nom buying groceries that day
this old man came up to me
when i was waiting in line

he leaned down
and looked at me
under my hat, lifting it
and laughing, so i said hi

and he said hi and said
something about my hat
how it covers my eyes
and i said i can see fine
and he said i guess i can

and he picked up my bottle of tamari
and i said he could go ahead of me
since he was elderly
and had less stuff to pay for
but he insisted i go first

and when i was getting out my money
which i had enough of for that day
he tried to give me a twenty
which i refused, thanking him

and leaving the store
i wondered if it was because
of the missing buttons on my coat
or if the guy was unwell, demented
maybe i reminded him of someone

nom i just spent some money on groceries and now am thinking of taking some of them back,...wondering if i really need grapeseed oil and organic ketchup and that can of olives. i could probably eat less/less healthier and be richer/less poor. 070303
