My understanding is that we are not to enter into any experience with prior knowledge, with foresight or expectation. Based on the films i have viewed and the books i have read, I've concluded pop_culture would have us believe that we are to dive head_first into experiences without hope or preoccupation. But that is impossible. And it is dangerous. So to compromise i have only one expectation. I expect you to be good. I expect you to be honourable and true. I expect you to be decent and honest. I expect you to treat me the way you would like to be treated. I expect you to be good. If you meet this expectation you can expect the same from me in return.

expectations are cruel i have learned to set mine low to leave little room for disappointment very low even below honesty and decency and truth because those seem to be too much to expect from most human beings

light me, Angel with your rose glow bait me from these dark woods into the sanguine splendor of your lips. Yes, I will die to worship your neck With one finger only Only You would die to save me and I am no murderer when will you - I could never ask my love, you wrested me from this green gravestone Angel, I am rebuilding us the house I burned To shade my red heart.

she didn't understand that what i wanted and what i expected were one-hundred-and-eighty degrees different. I did not get what i wanted, but, to my chagrin, i did ger what i expected. Just like any schizophrenic, i was hopping to be disappointed, but i wasn't

i would not believe the best of you if I did not know it true. I hope I'd never expect better then what you could deliver. Stop tearing down my first impression, stop paving over flowers. Stop screaming just a minute, there's something I need to tell you. I believe the best of you, because I've seen it once before. I expect good things of you because I know you can deliver.
