stork daddy i was born into a world of the usual sensibilities, and i cannot say i felt an affinity for them. it was the irish folk songs my father played that inspired me as a young child. i found in the rambler or the revolutionary, an ideal - that of the feckless and chagrinned adventurer who strikes out alone, finding comrades in those who shared the goal of living with a happy rage, living only to show the world what it really was. the rambler was amended to include the jester, the poet, the samurai, the lover, the novelist, and i suppose the advocate. 050213
