there's a stigma that it's boring, when in reality, the weather = nature, which is the least boring thing.

It isn't boring, especially when the weather is affecting your life in some way, for good or bad, and you want to talk about it. I guess it's boring when it's the perfunctory "It's a nice/miserable day, isn't it?" (Actually, if someone said "IT IS A NICE SLASH MISERABLE DAY" that would kind of make my day.)

complaining about the weather can be boring SLASH tired: "i am not wearing any pants and it's snowing and i am cold and this is the weather's fault." but contemplating the strangeness of a winter storm with ice pellets in spring is not boring.

I'm just curious, around where are you? I think we're supposed to get some snow or something in Montreal in two days.

For some reason (no reason?) I thought you were in BC. I don't know why. :) There is snow on the ground this morning, and little bits of ice are currently falling from the sky. Weirder, though, was the hailstorm in July a couple of years ago (when I worked at a summer camp north of Ottawa - good thing we were inside for lunch).

it "feels like" 111 degrees (that's 44 celsius) in toronto right now. i enjoy talking about this and dispelling "cold canada" stereotypes.

it's been raining steady for five daystraight. Looks like a two day break Monday and Tuesday the back to rain. It's beautiful and we need it, but it's very very very wet. Goa is still a little unsure of it. The rain flows down all the hills into the river which is finally a moving body of water.

he asked how i was doing. "pretty good," i said. "though i'd be a little better if it would cool down a bit." "just wait," he said. "our weather is so unpredictable, tomorrow is bound to be completely different from today." he was right. yesterday i was slathered in sunscreen and wearing shorts. this morning i needed pants and long sleeves.
