add this to the list of things_you're_not_supposed_to_say: i wish every inconsiderate asshole who's ever forced me to listen to their bass-heavy bullshit against my will while i try to relax or sleep at night would spontaneously combust. you really want to rock the block? take one for the team. make it a drop to remember.

How could anyone force you to listen to that?

Hmm? ...that it's so loud he can't help hearing it. (To me that was clear, but then I've misunderstood plenty of turns of phrase that were obvious to others, so...) As for meanings (middle-end information, if middles can have ends), I figured "low-end" was a sound term here, but my mind jumed to "inexpensive" first. Cheap bass, expensive treble, mid-priced alto.

Anyway, to the bearer of a name of demolition-brightness-uplifedness, I hope you can get some peace and quiet. Loud high notes grate on me more - they team up with my constant tinnitus and conspire to irritate my ears - but I don't like how low ones rumble their way into my consciousness either. If I don't hear them, I feel them. I had this idea for a bit, but you inspired me to write "low_voices" to celebrate low sounds that aren't annoyingly loud. (The annoying ones can fuck right off, I agree.)

they did cut it out eventually! huzzah! i think after living attached to people who partied day and night and played their music so loud it literally shook the walls of our house, i might be more sensitive to this stuff than some folks are. but i love how my salty late-night outburst was an inadvertent catalyst for your celebration of the badassery of baritone voices.

last night must have been a party night. there was amplified sound so loud coming from a house behind my apartment last night that i walked a couple of blocks over to see what was going on. it just looked like the backyard of a normal house, despite the strobe lights and deafening dance music and amount of guests making it seem like a sorority or fraternity party (there are a couple of frat houses on my street but thankfully they're a few blocks down). the juxtaposition of doing your laundry and reading your weird supernatural murder mystery book in your bedroom on a friday night while "nts! nts! nts!" beats through the night would be almost amusing if it wasn't annoying. they quieted down at 11, at least. thanks, toronto.
