epitome of incomprehensibility

My cousin used it to rhyme something on the birthday poem she wrote for me this past summer. My 26th birthday. Weeks after I would sing, I don't know about you But I'm feeling 22! Something something something something something oo-oo! You don't know about me, I bet you're 23! before dissolving into laughter (or beads that get divided by zero, who knows). Early into being 23, I came back home from Scary Graduate School for a visit on my uncle's birthday. He and my cousin was there, and the three of us plus my mother were playing Dutch Blitz. I mentioned how my cousin in her younger youth had explained the game's Solitaire-like rules for piling some of the cards: "The boys go on top of the girls and the girls go on top of the boys." We were all laughing when I added, "Such a heteronormative synecdoche," and for some reason they found that of added hilarity; thus the phrase "heteronormative synecdoche" became a sort of catchphrase of mine.
