pneumonia
epitome of incomprehensibility So that's what my father has, maybe from working too hard when he was already sick, maybe just from germs being germs.

Now he's been ordered to stay at home for a week and take a round of antibiotics.

But I was frightened when I heard this yesterday, because it's the sort of thing that you hear about killing people, e.g. children in the 1800s. Then again, just about everything was killing children in the 1800s.

According to my mother, it was also something I would catch if I went outside in the cold without a hat when I was a child, back when I thought she was saying "ammonia" (which I figured was bad because it was poisonous) or at least "nammonia" (poisonous, plus "n" for a variable).

Anyway, he is still sore and coughing, like with the flu, but with sleep he should get better.

I'm also selfishly paranoid that I'll get sick and if I do that I'll freak out. And I was probably the one that gave him the cold/flu thing three weeks ago in the first place.

(Thus I've been typing on my own computer, not the general one. But I'm probably doing worse by staying up in a cold room and typing at 1:13 AM. Okay. Goodnigh.)

n o m i've had pneumonia so many times now, last count was something like over 13. first time was 11 weeks old, have had it a couple times a year sometimes. 151022

e_o_i That's reassuring :)

But seriously, how did you stand being so tired all the time? My dad hung out some clothes yesterday and was all worn out just from that.

The persistent cough I had when I was 13 turned out to be a sinus infection and I was prescribed antibiotics for it, but it didn't interfere with my usual functioning aside from the cold symptoms and the headaches I got towards evening.
