this dream exchange: my aunt walks into the room with a dog on a leash. me: "that dog is so cute!" her: "he has a disease. me: "what?" her: "misanthropy." both the idea of misanthropy as a disease, and the fact that a dog could ever be misanthropic. much more likely for cats, i would think.

wait, that is incorrect! if only you could edit blather edits. if only red_wine didn't do what it did (actually, let's not wish that).

"are you reading a book?" he asked in surprise at the bar. "yep," i replied. "nothin' wrong with that!"

i got a flu shot and am trying to move my arm to help spread the love out of my arm and into my body (that may be the first time i've ever said that). so i've been on-and-off conducting symphonies with my left arm. most are in 4/4, but there is an occasional 3/4 or 2/4. admittedly i don't know how to conduct in any time signature other than those.

i sent a voice message to you today ending with "roger. over." in homage to airplane and related inside jokes. or so i'd thought... you sent a voice text back and said you're glad i'm over roger. i realized then i'd accidentally reversed the order.

(i took it to mean, "you don't see the heart and soul of the person/place/thing," and not the racier interpretation some might have. but maybe that's just me.)

i was walking down my street at almost 1am to try to see the blue_moon. i can't see the moon from my building because of how the street angles, so i had to walk half a block south and find a good spot to see it through all the tall buildings. i found a spot and was peering up at it, when i heard "HEY!" i turned around to see a security guard sitting in the car across the street. i instinctively said "sorry! i'm just trying to see the moon." creepy neighbours exist and we have to be vigilant, but sometimes people really are just looking up into outer space.
