epitome of incomprehensibility
|
Sometimes something hits you and you're still under anesthetic. The dental surgeon is hammering away to get the twisted fragments of your alluringly but dangerously twisted wisdom tooth, and you can't feel it, but afterwards your face becomes an ache and you spend hours watching music videos. Except the simile snaps at some point. This real thing is not like that other real thing. After the breakup, it was my dream_mind that played video after video. Now, I don't know what form grief will take. I never lost a pet before. Here the loss isn't death but distance, which in that way is like the breakup. I was about to write, "And the person, of course, is not human." Person, indeed. I can't even be sad without being a tiny bit funny, in this case by accident. Maybe humour is the hue my life-clouds take on. Forget silver, fuck gold, fornicate with bronze. The humour lining is a pun, and it's numb, and I'm on a cloud, and some of my dreams will miss something.
