raze MISBLATHE
(verb)

(1)

to blathe something you didn't really mean to blathe, or to blathe it in the wrong place; usually a consequence of forgetting to change the title of the blathe you're on before hitting the blather button; "bun of a stitch! i meant to put that on the stink_trees blathe, and here i am talking about fragrant conifers on walking_backwards_in_winter."

(2)

blathing a blathe you think isn't a blathe only to discover it's already been blathed.

(3)

something i just did on purpose, because i think the past participle will prove to be the most useful iteration of the word. this way, when i have a reason to use it (and you can bet i will), it'll link back to a definition in three parts, even though the third part is really more of a sneaky addendum.

raze #2 is especially fun when you think you're writing a standalone piece, and instead you find the title you've chosen belongs to an existing blathe, and your words have been saddled with a comment from nineteen years ago in which someone felt a need to express how much they didn't like it here ... and that was the only thing they ever wrote.

WAY TO MAKE YOUR CONTRIBUTION COUNT.

raze (sorry, ferret from the past. i didn't mean to yell at you. and i don't hold it against you that you weren't born a squirrel. i was really just frustrated with myself for not checking to make sure the name of the blathe i wanted to create hadn't already been blathed. lesson learned, until i forget all about it three months from now.) 220228

raze note_to_self: stop doing this in the present tense. 220820

epitome of incomprehensibility I don't mind when a word has been blathed on before - more often than not, I like it - but I get pissed off at myself when I put a blathe in the wrong place. 220820

raze (that's what gets me too. especially when i've already changed the title to what i'd like it to be, but it changes back after i have to refresh to honour the whims of the captcha, and i forget to compensate for that. d'oh.) 220820

raze something i did yesterday, sort of, for the first time in a very long while. here i thought i was closing a loop by creating the year_of_the_rat blathe, when the linked phrase that didn't actually link to anything was hour_of_the_rat. i confused my units of measurement without realizing it.

time is so fluid to me anymore anyway.
