it's_a_shame raze robin williams killed himself today. i didn't see that coming. just typing it feels bizarre. why is it that so many comedians are so tormented? it's like some sick joke even they wouldn't dare write. they can make millions of people laugh to the point of physical pain, if they're the really special kind of comedian they can make their audience *think*, make them feel something beyond profound amusement, but knowing they can bring moments of joy and understanding to others isn't enough to fill the hole inside, whatever put it there. r.i.p. 140811 ... gja Oh that is not good news 140811 ... flowerock good comedians know people well, they have an understanding of how the world is flowing and how people think and act... sometimes that is overwhelming, frustrating, disheartening even for a funny fun lover... you may have freedom of speech but some good comedians, of which robin williams was one, speak too much truth and encourage too much thought, they get shut down one way or another. or maybe it is something else entirely and that s just what I think... either way, I enjoyed his work, I hope he made the right hoice for himself. 140811 ... no reason this one is really hard to take. there was a big storm here last night, and it's been dreary and overcast ever since. robin williams was born here. i like to think the sky is mourning. 140812 ... flowerock I didn't realize this happened in Tiburon...
