texture
PeeT I think if you've got a child, you've got to show them how to love life and what the goods things to do are—you know, the perfect mouthful. That's what I'm really into showing them. How do you make
the perfect mouthful? Different textures, different temperatures—ice cream and hot chocolate. So we like making potions and so you mix it all up. I love that. And I love what I get back from them, which is imagination and play.

gja Heres the thing.
I know exactly what you mean.
I am the father of three boys who just do not stop.
Of course we urge them but thats more for our benefit.
So that we can say that we have.
They all have hands that find the texture.
They all feel different things.
O - leather.
S - string.
T - juice.
Their grandfather calls it the vapours.
Unsanded timber.
Soil and clay.
The itch of nits.
The resistance of water on a hard plunged arm.
Shiny plastic on an unwrapped something.
Static from a turned off appliance.

Sometimes.
When Im not feeling right.
I can come to realise.
I'm not feeling it: texture.
And context.

Whats that Van Morrison song:
"Not feeling it no more..."
