raze could be a memory
trying to make itself known
straining to break through the barrier
between then and now

could be a case of
talking_to_the_weather
when the weather talks back
spitting its intentions
where they won't be ignored

could be a tear
in the wall of the eye
tunics taking turns
becoming lesser versions of themselves

could be a physical response
to emotional_stunts
performed by trained professionals

of course
it could just be

unhinged particle irritants from wildfire smoke
not sure where from; the entire west coast of north america is on fire AGAIN this summer

my lungs and eyes don't really care where it's coming from. my heart aches for all the poor trees and animals and people whose lives are destroyed.

i put more powdered reishi in my coffee. i contemplate not walking to the library. maybe that's a step too far. maybe i should just put eye drops in my bag and exercise my way to new library books.

the eye drops collect all the microscopic particles in a milky goop in the corner of my eye. I remove the goop with my pinky fingers. poor trees. poor mushrooms that depend on the trees. poor birds and squirrels that live in the trees.

embodiment this morning is likely to be a tear jerker
