raze he sings the same three words again and again until they shed their meaning and shred the bed of soft synth pads beneath his viscid voice. there's a movie they made from the story his first album didn't take the time to tell. in the opening scene, a sentient toy soldier hits the ground after his parachute fails to open. injured but alive, he curses the clouds that didn't do a thing to break his fall. this is someone's front lawn. a couple of kids sit on their porch and talk. nothing too terrible or incredible happens. a few hours pass. a cracked commando limps home and waits to be debriefed. a crow calls to his companion: "i'm here. the coast is clear." the sun sinks a little lower in the sky. but it doesn't die. 260916
